Clinton, IA - At the Sunday, May 23rd game at 2:00 PM, fans of all ages can bring their dogs to the "Bark at the Ball Park" - sponsored by the LumberKings and Buddy Gourmet."This event is one the WHOLE family can enjoy! Our poodle, Buddy can't wait to throw out the first pitch", says Maggie Stafford, owner of Buddy Gourmet, a new pet boutique in Clinton. "We had a lot of requests for this type of activity and decided to bring it back for our fans", added Ted Tornow, General Manager for the LumberKings.
At the May 23rd game, the first 100 families who bring their dogs through the gate get a goodie bag packed with treats from Buddy Gourmet, a doggie bandana and coupons, along with information from other great animal businesses and organizations in the Clinton area.
Activities and contests for the canine guests will be held throughout the game. Prizes include: a grooming package from Sandy's Canine Clippers, memberships to Prairie Pastures Dog Park located inside Eagle Point Park (recently ranked 8th best dog park in the country), a biscuit basket from Buddy Gourmet and other doggie delights.
Other special attractions that day include: pet portraits from Patricia Bird Photography and a canine concessions stand featuring doggie frozen yogurt, hot dog jerky and other fine treats from Buddy Gourmet.
There will be port-a-pup potty pick up stations located at the ball park and all dogs must be leashed.
